Your first year has gone by so fast, Meleana...we can't believe you are already a year old! Here you are on the morning of your birthday attending daily Mass at St Jerome. This is where I work now, and I had the 7th graders with me. Daddy brought you to church so you could receive a birthday blessing, like all of the kids get when it's their birthday. You also got a little gift - a picture of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. How nice!
We also celebrated your birthday with our family and friends at Liberty Park in Cerritos. Daddy got up very early in the morning to bar-b-que, and we met him there for your party. Ninang Jaymee baked a yummy cupcake cake for you, and as you can see, it was BEAUTIFUL! It had flowers and angels, and even your name on it! We let you eat one of them, and you LOVED it!
It was a super-fun day with all of your titas, and uncles, and cousins! Tita Emeline, Uncle Robby, and Jacob...Tita Lyn-Lyn, Uncle Mike, Ati Leilani, and JJ...Tita Jenn, Uncle Dave, SEthan, and Shane...Tita Chel, Uncle Dre, and Camille...Tita Lisa, Luke, and Andrew...Tita Ellain...Uncle Alex, Uncle Jimmy, and Uncle Ryan were all there. You and I mostly hung out under the tent because you were kind of shy with all the people around, but once the kids started playing with us, you felt more comfortable around them.
We're so glad you had a great first birthday! May God bless you with many more years to come!
